Wegmans, Conference Center Plan Approved In Tysons

The county approved Capital One's plans to add a conference center and Wegmans to its Tysons campus.

MCLEAN, VA—The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a Wegmans and conference center at the Capital One headquarters in Tysons Tuesday, Washington Business Journal reported.

Wegmans has gotten on board and is slated to open in late 2018. In addition, 800 apartment units and a green recreational space on the roof will be located above Wegmans.

The agreement allows the county to have access to the auditorium for 30 days each season. In addition, the public can use the black box space for 70 days each season and the classrooms for 110 days each year. The approved plan was revised in 2015 after Capital One proposed a publicly-operated community center.
