Wexton Defeats Comstock In 10th District: How McLean Voted

MCLEAN, VA—With over 99 percent of precincts reporting, Democrat Jennifer Wexton defeated Rep. Barbara Comstock 56 percent to 43 percent to claim Virginia's 10th congressional district seat on Nov. 6. Democrats eyed the race as a vulnerable district in their effort to take the House majority. Wexton's victory became one of the first flipped seats for the Democrats before winning the House.

Wexton will become the first Democratic representative for the district since 1981. The district, which was considered a purple swing district, encompasses Clarke, Frederick, and Loudoun Counties, Manassas City, Manassas Park City, Winchester City and parts of Fairfax and Prince William Counties.

All precincts in Fairfax County are reporting vote tallies. In McLean's precincts, Wexton got more votes than Comstock, but some were closer than others. Here's a breakdown of the Virginia 10th congressional race votes by precinct in the McLean area.
