What's Open, Closed For Thanksgiving 2018 In McLean
Here's your guide to what's open and closed on Thanksgiving and the surrounding days.

MCLEAN, VA—Many services will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday in McLean. Some will remain closed on Black Friday, including government offices, libraries and schools. A few services such as county parks and recreation centers will reopen Friday.
Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 23 (Black Friday).
Fairfax County Offices: Closed Nov. 22-23.

Fairfax County Public Schools: Closed Nov. 21-23.
State Offices: Circuit Court and General District Court will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and are closed Nov.22-23. Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court has detention hearings at 9 a.m. and closes at noon on Nov. 21. It is closed Nov. 22-23.

Community Centers: McLean Community Center is closed on Nov. 22-23. Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) programs, activities and facilities will also be closed Nov. 22-23.
Fairfax Connector and Fastran: Fairfax Connector bus service will operate on a Sunday schedule Thursday and a holiday weekday schedule Friday. See www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/ for more information. Fastran will not operate on Nov. 22-23.
Libraries: Closed Nov. 22-23.
Metrorail: On Nov. 22, Metrorail will operate on a Sunday schedule from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. There is no track work scheduled for Nov. 22-23. For more information, visit www.wmata.com.
Metrobus: On Nov. 22, Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule www.wmata.com.
Parks: Closed on Nov. 22. On Friday Colvin Run Mill and Sully Historic Site are open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. E.C. Lawrence, Hidden Oaks, Hidden Pond and Huntley Meadows Nature Centers are open noon-5 p.m. Riverbend Park Visitor Center will be open noon-5 p.m. Frying Pan Farm Park will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and the Visitor Center from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Green Spring Gardens ' Horticultural Center will be open noon-4:30 p.m. and the Historic House will be closed.
Fairfax County Recreation Centers: All rec centers except George Washington RECenter (closed) are open regular hours until noon on Nov. 22 and open regular hours on Nov. 23.
Recycling: I-66 Transfer Station (4618 West Ox Road, Fairfax) and I-95 Landfill (9850 Furnace Road, Lorton) will be closed Nov. 22.
Trash Pickup: County trash, recycling, yard waste and special collection services happen on holidays except Christmas Day. The Customer Service Center is closed Nov. 22-23. Contact private service providers for holiday hours.
