Woman Stabbed At Tysons Hotel, Person Charged: Police

Police say the suspect came out covered in blood, and another hotel guest tackled him at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons.

TYSONS, VA — Fairfax County Police have charged one person in the stabbing at a hotel in Tysons Wednesday.

The stabbing happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner at 1700 Tysons Boulevard. A hotel guest heard loud noises and saw a man run out covered in blood. The guest tackled the man and held him down with staff until police arrived.

Police checked the room and found a woman with upper body stab wounds. Police provided aid until fire and rescue arrived. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and remains at the hospital.

The suspect, Igor Koob, 34, of Washington DC, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was charged with aggravated malicious wounding.
