• County teams will be represented in state golf tournaments; Bolling is Region 2C Player of the Year for third year in a row (fincastleherald.com) — Mineral will host the Class 3 state golf tournament at the Cutalong course at Tributer Resort on Tuesday, October 13, bringing top high school golfers and their supporters into town. Lord Botetourt’s Alisa Davidova will compete there as an individual, while James River’s team heads to Tappahannock for the Class 2 event after a strong regional performance.
