• Orange County PC PH – J&L Holdings LLC RZ - The Piedmont Journal Recorder (pjrnews.com) — Orange County’s Planning Commission will hold a June 4 public hearing on a proposal to rezone 4.19 acres along Route 20 near the Route 20/US 522 intersection from residential to general commercial. Residents can attend at the Orange Public Safety Building or submit written comments by June 3, with documents available at the Development Services Office and on the county website. 
• Across Central Virginia, communities ramp up resistance to proposed $1 billion transmission line (29news.com) — A proposed $1 billion Valley Link transmission line could cut through Orange County farms, including historic battlefield land, prompting local families to organize fierce opposition. Orange-area residents are joining neighbors across nine counties at meetings and open houses as state regulators weigh the project and the utility prepares to release updated route maps on May 27.
