• Historic Augusta County spring purchased out of foreclosure by Augusta Water (augustafreepress.com) — A major water source near Mount Sidney has been secured for local use, as Augusta Water purchased historic Seawright Springs out of foreclosure. While there are no immediate plans to develop it, the spring’s million-gallon capacity will bolster long-term water reliability for residents from Verona through Mount Sidney to Weyers Cave, especially during future droughts.
