• New sidewalks, shelters aim to improve transit safety in Augusta (dailyprogress.com) — Pedestrians and bus riders in Verona will soon see a new shelter, sidewalk, crosswalk, and pedestrian signal at the Augusta County Government Center entrance on Route 11. The same $2.1 million Smart Scale-funded project is upgrading bus stops, sidewalks, and crossings along Route 250 near Staunton and in Waynesboro, with some weekday lane closures and temporary bus stop shifts while work continues.
