Stars in the Sky 2025 at 2025 in Newport News

On Friday, July 4, the city of Newport News will host the 4th of July Stars in the Sky event at Victory Landing Park, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Routes 101, 104, 105 and 112 will have detours due to road closures for the event.

Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. and can be seen over the James River. Victory Landing Park is located at 50 26th Street. There will be free light-up giveaways (while supplies last), face painting, interactive patriotic performers roaming the crowd, and a strolling magician. Get ready to dance the night away with DJ Nakylla spinning festive beats and a live performance by the incredible Kustom Made Band. Food and beverage vendors also will be on site selling a variety of meals, treats and refreshing drinks.
