CANstruction Competition 2026: Where History Lives and Community Builds

Join us at New Horizons Regional Education Center for a live CANstruction Competition, where teams will build creative sculptures entirely from cans and boxes of food!

This year’s theme is 🇺🇸 Celebrating America’s 250th: Where History Lives and Community Builds.

Want to build? Teams are open to everyone! Businesses, community groups, schools, civic organizations, families and groups of friends are all welcome. You definitely don’t have to be a construction pro to compete. Bring a team, a big heart and an idea worth building on!

Want to watch? Come join the fun! The competition is FREE and open to the public. Come see the builds take shape and cheer on your favorite team.

When the competition is over, all food collected will be donated to THRIVE Peninsula and Grove Christian Outreach Center to help provide food for neighbors in our community.

CANstruction is a community collaboration co-hosted by AGCVA, GuernseyTingle, New Horizons Regional Education Centers, THRIVE Peninsula, and Grove Christian Outreach Center.

❤️ Can’t attend? You can still help build something good. Monetary donations support the CANstruction Competition and help provide food for neighbors through THRIVE Peninsula and Grove Christian Outreach Center.
