Local Speedskater Hailey Choi Brings Home Silver Medal

Hailey competed at the 2013 National Short Track Competition last week.

Local speedskater Hailey Choi, 9, brought home a silver medal from the 2013 National Short Track Competition, which took place March 15-17 in Omaha. 

Hailey is the 500m National Short Track Champion, and placed second overall in four categories. 

Hailey is a third grade student at Navy Elementary in Fairfax and trains at Prince William Ice with the Washington Speedskating Club six times a week. She competed at one level above her age group, in the Pony class.
