Oakton High School Teacher Attends National Conference on Holocaust Education
After completing a national educators conference, Oakton's Elizabeth Snyder is now better-prepared to teach the Holocaust than most.

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is promoting better Holocaust education at schools across the country, and one school right in our own backyard was a recent beneficiary.
Elizabeth Snyder, a Vienna resident and teacher at Oakton High School, recently attended the 19th annual Arthur and Rochelle Belfer National Conference for Educators, a three-day workshop for teachers hosted each year by the museum.
Snyder was among 200 teachers from throughout the country who attended this year’s conference, which is meant to equip teachers with new knowledge and skills to effectively teach the Holocaust.
