Man Charged With Murder After Oakton Stabbing: Police
Police say the man they've charged lived in the same home as the victim.
OAKTON, VA — Fairfax County Police say a person died in a fatal stabbing in Oakton Sunday.
Police responded to the 2900 block of Edgelea Road around 8:30 a.m. The victim was found with upper body trauma and was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The victim was identified as Mohammed Hemmatian, 61.

The suspect was taken into custody on the scene. Abdulloi Toshpulodzoda, 27, was charged with murder. He was taken to the hospital for a "routine evaluation" and suffered a medical emergency. He is currently in stable condition.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the stabbing. Both parties lived in the same home. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
