Rob Boston on "Religious Freedom -- What It Is and What It Is Not

Rob Boston, Director of Communications for American United for Separation of Church and State, will speak on “Religious Freedom -- What It Is and What It Is Not”.  This talk examines ongoing controversies over the meaning of religious freedom.  Rob Boston will discus how Religious Right-led efforts to redefine religious liberty would affect LGBT rights, reproductive rights, access to health care and the equal treatment of all Americans, religious and nonreligious.  Rob will take questions after the talk and will sign copies of his new book Taking Liberties: Why Religious Freedom Doesn’t Give You the Right to Tell Other People What To Do. 

The meeting, hosted by Humanists of UUCF, will be in the large meeting room in the Program Building of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax, 2709 Hunter Mill Road, Oakton, Virginia.  Snacks will be out by 7:15 pm.  The meeting will  7:30 pm.  All are welcome.
