Students from Oakton, Madison High Named Semifinalists for National Achievement Scholarship
Two students, Breana Tate and Timothy Davison, have been named semifinalists.

Twenty-eight Fairfax County students, including two from Oakton-area schools, have been named 2014 National Achievement Scholarship program semifinalists.
The National Achievement Scholarship program is a program by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation that recognizes outstanding African-American high school students.
The students from Oakton-area schools are:
Oakton High School: Breana Tate
Madison High School: Timothy Davison
The semifinalists will compete for over 800 awards totaling $2.5 million. Students are judged based on their scores on the PSATs and other factors.
