Alexandria Democratic Committee Launches 'Truth in Alexandria' Web Site

Some of the issues the site tackles include Potomac Yard funding, tax rates and the minimum wage.

The Alexandria Democratic Committee has launched “Truth in Alexandria,” a Web site organizers say is a place where Alexandria residents can “learn the truth about Alexandria’s challenges and successes with respect to schools, the budget and debt policy, development, and infrastructure.”

Organizers say cleardot.gif“Truth in Alexandria” responds to “false or misleading claims advanced by Republican candidates for Alexandria City Council at Council debates or on their campaign literature.”

The election for City Council on Nov. 3 is “too important to allow these claims to go unchallenged,” the group says.
