Atlas Brew Works To Open Location With Andy's Pizza In Alexandria

DC-based Atlas Brew Works is coming to Alexandria's Carlyle Crossing development with Andy's Pizza.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — DC based Atlas Brew Works is preparing to launch at Alexandria's Carlyle Crossing development later in 2023.

The brewery announced via social media its plan to add a third location. Atlas Brew Works in Alexandria will offer its favorite craft beers on tap as well as special limited releases only at that location. Andy's Pizza will also be part of the location.

An opening date has not yet been set, but the brewery will share more updates at a later time. It will join Carlyle Crossing's three apartment communities and Wegmans grocery store close to the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station.

Atlas Brew Works, founded in 2013 by Justin Cox, makes craft beers at its locations in Ivy City and Half Street near Nationals Park locations. The brewery's beers are sold at its two locations as well as other locations around DC, Maryland and Virginia and through shipping. According to WTOP, Atlas Brew Works scored a bronze metal in the American Pilsener category at the Great American Beer Festival in 2021. Since August 2015, the brewery is completely solar powered.

Andy's Pizza, which is part of the Atlas Brew Works location at DC's Half Street, is a local pizza shop. The New York-style pizza won the Best Traditional Pizza award at the International Pizza Expo in 2021. First opened as part of Tysons Galleria's Urbanspace food hall in late 2018, Andy's Pizza now has six locations. Its Old Town Alexandria location opened in fall 2022.
