Barbershop Victim of Armed Robbery Saturday Night
Police sent out an alert about an armed robbery Saturday night in the 3500 block of King Street.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Saturday night at Floyd’s 99 Barbershop on King Street, according to employees at the business. The barbershop is located at 3516 King St. (see map below).
Two suspects with a weapon robbed the business and fled, police said. A Fairfax County Police helicopter, Fairfax 1, assisted with the search for the suspects. No description of the two was released by police.
Police sent out an alert about the robbery Saturday at 8:45 p.m. The barbershop closes at 8 p.m. on Saturdays, according to its Web site; police cars could be seen just before 8 p.m. down the street from the area on the King Street side road, parked by SunTrust Bank at Bradlee Shopping Center.

The barbershop is sandwiched between the Sunoco gas station, a Verizon Wireless store and Safeway.
There was an armed robbery in October of the Verizon Wireless store next door to Floyd’s 99 and there was a smash and grab over the Christmas holiday at Spokes, nearby on Quaker Lane.
