“We selected the new and vibrant Cameron Park development so our residents will be part of a growing and exciting community,” said Bacon, in the news release.

The company closed on the property on Monday and expects to start construction on the 116-suite senior living facility the first week of March. Bacon said construction is slated for completion in December 2017. The City of Alexandria Planning Commission Planning Board approved the Brandywine Senior Living plan for senior housing in June 2015.

The Brandywine residence will be a part of the JBG Company’s 722,000-square-foot Cameron Park development on Alexandria’s West End, located south of South Pickett Street and east of Cameron Station Boulevard. The development also features 66 townhomes to be developed by Pulte and roughly 300 multifamily units.

The Brandywine Senior Living at Alexandria community will feature interior and exterior courtyards, a therapy pool and gym, beauty salon, movie theater, pub, outdoor patios, private dining rooms and many other building amenities designed to enhance the quality of the resident experience. The décor will “blend elegance and comfort to make the surroundings inviting and warm for everyone who chooses to call Brandywine Senior Living at Alexandria their home,” the company said.
