Haute Halloween Art Exhibit & Costume Contest

Studio 4, Old Town hosts an artful Halloween costume party. Light fare and prizes. Free to the public.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sep. 10, 2013 - ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Upon entering Studio 4, Old Town, located inside Old Town Alexandria’s historic Crilley Warehouse, you will be greeted by three very distinctive styles of painting. While visually diverse, a strong connection through color and joyful approach is clear. For the month of October, the trio of resident artists resist traditional spooky gimmicks and usher in a Haute Halloween.  With Back to Black, Gina Cochran, John Gascot and MG Stout shed the bold palettes they’re best known for and create a sophisticated and witty black and white exhibit.

A Costume Party and Art Reception will be held at Studio 4, Old Town, 218 N. Lee Street, Alexandria VA on Saturday, October 26, 6-9pm. It is free and open to the public. Light fare and refreshments will be served and artful prizes will be awarded for Best Costume as well as Best Amy Winehouse Costume (a playful nod to the exhibit’s title). Gallery Hours: Thursday-Saturday 12:00pm-7:00pm and Sun 12:00pm-5:00pm.
