Police: Pierre Clark Homicide Case Closed

BREAKING: Alexandria Police announced Friday the 2016 Pierre Clark homicide investigation is closed.

ALEXANDRIA , VA -- Alexandria Police announced Friday that the investigation of the Pierre Clark homicide is closed. Clark was shot and killed at the 1000 block of Montgomery Street Old Town Alexandria on June 8, 2016.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Alexandria Police Department have decided to close the investigation due to the fact that the suspect, Saquan Hall, is dead.

In March, Clark's brother, DiJuan Marquie Clark, pleaded guilty to the July 2 murder of Hall. Reports described the murder as retaliation, with DiJuan Marquie Clark believing Hall had killed his brother weeks before. Clark faces from five to 40 years in prison on the murder charge and three years in prison on the firearms charge, according to media reports. His sentencing is scheduled for June 15.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Section investigated and identified Saquan Hall as the shooter in Pierre Clark's murder. The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the upper body. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Inova Alexandria Hospital.
