Trash Collection Suspended Until Monday: City

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Refuse, recycling, yard waste, and Christmas tree collection will not take place this week, the City announced Tuesday afternoon.

Normal service will begin Monday.

The suspension of collection activities will help keep workers and residents safe, keep trash off of snowbanks during plowing, and keep collection employees available to operate snow removal equipment, the City noted.
City Code prohibits placing items out earlier than 5 p.m. the day before collection.
