Sons File $50 Million Lawsuit Over Mom's Death on Smoky Metro: Report
Alexandria woman died when Metro filled with smoke; sons are suing Metro.

The sons of Carol Glover, the woman who died after smoked filled the metro car she was riding in, are suing Metro, according to a report by The Washington Post.
The woman who died after smoke filled the station and metro car at L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station on Tuesday was from Alexandria. She was on the Yellow Line headed home when the train stopped and filled with smoke. First responders didn’t arrive for more than 30 minutes.
Attorney Patrick Regan filed the lawsuit Friday on behalf of sons Marcus and Anthony Glover, the adult sons of Glover. The lawsuit says that Glover experienced “severe difficulty breathing, eventually losing consciousness.” By the time first responders arrived, she had no pulse, the lawsuit notes; she was declared dead later.

Regan is president and senior partner of Regan Zambri Long, PLLC and limits his practice to representing seriously injured clients in medical malpractice, product liability and other serious personal injury and wrongful death claims.
Glover, 61, was the mother of two and took the metro to work each day for the past 20 years, according to NBC-4’s report. According to her LinkedIn profile, she was a Senior Business Analyst at DKW COMMUNICATIONS, INC. and was a graduate of Drexel University.

She lived on N. Pelham Street off of Taney Avenue in Alexandria.
