County officials say the shift was expected after strong opposition and little chance of approval, meaning nearby residents should now anticipate residential growth instead of large-scale technology facilities. 
• Remington man arrested in connection with Manassas First Fri... (fauquiernow.com) — A 23-year-old Remington resident has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at Manassas' First Friday festival that killed a 16-year-old girl. Police say he and another suspect fired at a third man near the train station, and both now face multiple felony charges, highlighting serious regional safety and justice concerns for Remington-area residents.
