Major Reston Density Talks Happening In Coming Weeks (Watch Live)
Fairfax County representatives will be meeting with local activists for "small workgroup sessions," which will be streamed live.

RESTON, VA -- Fairfax County representatives will be meeting with local activists for a series of "small workgroup sessions" to discuss a controversial proposal to increase the density limit in Reston in the coming weeks. The sessions will be live-streamed below, bookmark this page and return on the dates listed below to watch the sessions live.
Fairfax County released a statement this week announcing that the Coalition for a Planned Reston (CPR) and Reston Association would be hosting the workgroup sessions, where representatives from Fairfax County Planning Staff and Fairfax County Public Schools will address specific questions from CPR and RA on the issue.
Fairfax County plans to increase the density in the Reston Planned Residential Community (PRC) zoning area from 13 persons per acre to 16, a move the opponents argue will lead to out of control development when there isn't the infrastructure in Reston to support it.

CPR has been a vocal opponent of the move, and RA has also come out against the proposed zoning ordinance amendment.
