Fire And Rescue Units Respond To Reston Townhouse Fire
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units responded Thursday morning to the report of a townhouse fire in Reston. The fire is reportedly out.

RESTON, VA -- Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched Thursday morning to the report of a townhouse fire in Reston. The fire was in a kitchen appliance, according to an alert on FCFR's official Twitter account.
Fire units responded to a call on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 9:45 a.m., to the report of a fire in a townhouse in the 2200 block of Lofty Heights Place in Reston. They located the fire and were able to extinguish it quickly.
"It was a small fire in the kitchen," said Ashley Hildebrandt, a public information officer with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. Several of the units that responded to the fire have returned to service.

Although there was nothing suspicious about the fire, it remains under investigation, Hildebrandt said, as per standard procedure.
