The Washington Redskins have finally finished their preseason schedule and are ready to kick off the regular season as one of the early games at FedEx Field against the hated division rival Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 1:00 p.m. The Redskins are coming off an 8-7-1 season, narrowly missing the playoffs, and the Eagles finished in the NFC East basement with a 7-9 record, so both we'll be looking to improve this year. Man Beats His Dog With Baseball Bat In Sterling: Authorities

STERLING, VA — A man who beat his dog with a baseball bat at his Sterling residence has been arrested, according to Loudoun County Animal Services. Kevin R. Graves, 30, was charged with animal cruelty, a Class I misdemeanor. If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail and a fine of as much as $1,000. He's scheduled to appear in Loudoun County General District Court on Oct. 4.
