7-Year-Old Finds Gun At Springfield Playground
A man was arrested after a 7-year-old child found a gun at a Springfield playground. The child wasn't injured.

SPRINGFIELD, VAāAfter a child found a gun at a Springfield playground, a man faces charges for hiding the stolen gun and leaving it near a child.
A Fairfax County Police spokesperson told Patch the 7-year-old child found the gun at a playground in the 7000 block of Rhoden Court, which is a residential area.
Around 7 p.m., police recovered the gun from the child, who was not injured. Cristian Gonzales, 22, of Woodbridge was charged with concealing a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a non-violent felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, and leaving a firearm around a child under 14. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Separately, Bryan Reyes, 19 of Springfield and a juvenile male were both cited for a narcotics violation in the park.
