Man Who Faked Silver Line Concrete Is Going To Prison: Report
Andrew Nolan will go to prison for a year and a day after admitting to hiding faulty Silver Line concrete panels.

A man who faked records in order to conceal the fact that his company was delivering faulty concrete panels for Metro Silver Line construction will go to prison for a year and a day, according to a report.
WTOP reports that Andrew Nolan was also sentenced to three years of supervised release after he faked the records knowing that the concrete wasn't up to par and would have to be destroyed. He has also been ordered to pay $700,567.11 in restitution to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority -- although he is only required to pay monthly installments of $150, which means it would take him 389 years to pay it back.
Nolan worked for Universal Concrete Products, which is led by his uncle. The Pennsylvania company was making the concrete framing panels that were to be installed at the Reston Town Center Metro station and other new stations west.

The concrete panels that have been installed will remain in place, but they will need to be coated with sealant for decades to keep them from failing.
