Scott Walker to Speak in Reston Friday
Walker will speak at an event co-hosted by the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Consumer Electronics Association

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is expected to visit Reston this week to speak at an event hosted by the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
Walker is expected to withdraw from the Republican Presidential Primary in an announcement Monday evening, according to the New York Times.
During the event in Northern Virginia, he will share his opinions jobs and economic growth and how technology and innovation can help spur the national economy.

He is visiting as part of the NVTC and CEA’s Presidential Series.
Neither the NVTC nor the CEA has announced any changes in Walker’s schedule since his withdrawal from the presidential race.

The NVTC said in a recent press release promoting Walker’s visit that it has extended invitations to “a number of potential Democrat and Republican presidential candidates” to speak at upcoming events.
This week’s event will take place on Friday, Sept. 25, from 8-9:15 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Reston at 1800 Presidents St. There will be an hour for registration and networking from 7-8 a.m. prior to Walker’s presentation.
