RCC to Hold Forum Thursday for Candidates in Preference Poll
The forum will allow residents to learn more about the candidates competing for three spots on the Community Center's Board of Governor.

Five candidates running for three vacancies in the 2015 Reston Community Center Preference Poll — including three incumbents — will participate in a public forum to be held Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Reston Community Center in Hunters Woods.
The three incumbents — Bill Bouie, Lisa Sechrest-Ehrhardt and Gerald Zavala — will be joined by new candidates Karol Anderson in their quest for new three-year terms. The Preference Poll, which opened on Sept. 11 and will remain open until Oct. 2, will decide who is granted the three seats on the RCC Board of Governors.
Thursday night’s forum will give the community an opportunity to learn more about each candidate and what they’d like to achieve with their time on the Board while the Preference Poll remains open.

The county’s Board of Supervisors will ultimately name the three RCC Board members, but will follow the preferences expressed in the poll.
There are three ways to vote, according to the RCC. Each property in Reston Small District 5 (SD 5) should have received a ballot in the mail. Those ballots contain a unique username and PIN to be used for online voting at the RCC’s website. Online voting officially closes at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2.
Those ballots can also be delivered in person to any RCC location by 5 p.m. on Oct. 2 or by mail to any RCC location by 5 p.m. on Oct. 1.
