Reston 13-Year-Old Set Former NoVa Restaurant On Fire: Police
Police charged the Reston teen and a 14-year-old Vienna resident in connection with the fire at the former Marco Polo restaurant in October.

RESTON, VA -- A 13-year-old Reston resident has been arrested in connection with a fire that caused extensive damage to a vacant building in Vienna formerly occupied by a restaurant, along with numerous other charges.
Vienna Police announced in a Nov. 28 statement that they and the Fairfax County Police Department had charged two juveniles -- the Reston resident, and a 14-year-old Vienna resident -- for setting the fire at the former Marco Polo restaurant located at 245 Maple Avenue West on Oct. 14.
They face several felony and misdemeanor charges, including arson and destruction of property, and are being held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center, according to the statement.

They have also been charged in connection with the Sept. 9 vandalism of several buses in the rear parking lot at that location, as well as the Nov. 4 vandalism of two historic government buildings, resulting in several thousand dollars in damage. Police are also investigating whether they had a hand in bomb threats in McLean and Reston.
