Town to Hold Candlelight Vigil for Simon

Lake Anne Plaza has announced it will host a candlelight vigil Friday evening to honor Reston founder Robert E. Simon, who passed away earlier this week.

The vigil, to be led by Pastor Tim Ward, marks an opportunity for community members to share memories of Simon and to mourn his death.

“We hope this informal, grassroots gathering will give the Reston community an opportunity to come together during a time of sadness,” read the Plaza’s Facebook account.

The vigil will begin at 6:45 p.m. in the Plaza.
