This Friday's Power Lunch, Season 6 Episode 17, will celebrate Mother's Day by putting women's issues front and center. Where they belong!
This November, Virginia voters will decide on three Constitutional Amendments that will shape lives across generations: protecting reproductive rights, safeguarding marriage equality, and restoring voting rights for returning citizens. These are not abstract issues. They are kitchen table decisions, family decisions, legacy decisions.
The Friday Power Lunch opens the conversation with Han Jones, Campaign Manager for Virginians for Reproductive Freedom, and Hannah Servedio, Organizing Director, who will bringing viewers inside the fight, the strategy, and what it will take to win in November.
Then the show takes a turn that is both powerful and personal. Virginia Delegates Briana Sewell and Leslie Mehta join with the women who raised them — Brenda Jackson-Sewell and Maudie Chambers — for a Mother's Day conversation about where leadership really begins. Not under the Capitol dome. But in the values passed down at home, the examples set quietly over time, and the courage nurtured long before it ever shows up on a ballot.
