2. 4. Virginia Union beats Livingstone in home opener (wric.com) — Virginia Union football fans in Richmond saw a dominant 49-20 home-opening win over Livingstone, powered by three early rushing touchdowns and a strong all-around offense. Spanberger announces almost $40 million to be invested in Virginia airports (wric.com) — Nearly $40 million in new state aviation funding includes almost $7 million for Richmond International Airport to buy firefighting and snow-removal equipment and help relocate its security checkpoint. Additional grants support runway and hangar projects at other Virginia airports, with officials saying the upgrades will boost jobs and economic growth statewide.
