Battle of 64: League for Safer Streets unites Richmond and 757 communities (wtvr.com) — Richmond residents packed Liberation Church off Midlothian Turnpike for the League for Safer Streets' "Battle of 64," a basketball championship aimed at curbing violence and uniting communities. With appearances from Allen Iverson and local activists, organizers stressed communication, resilience, and giving young people safer options than the streets.
   

3. ACCA Shrine Car Club raises money to transport sick kids to hospitals for free: 'Great group of people' (wtvr.com) — Richmond's ACCA Shrine Car Club just wrapped its third annual car show, raising money so local children can travel free to specialized Shriners hospitals in Philadelphia and Greenville. Volunteers use club vans and donated food proceeds to cover thousands of miles each year, ensuring families can reach critical burn and orthopedic care regardless of their finances.
   

4. Sea Dogs Win Fourth Straight in Richmond (mlb.com) — Richmond baseball fans saw the Flying Squirrels routed 14–3 by the Portland Sea Dogs at CarMax Park, with Portland piling on late-inning homers. The series wraps up Sunday evening in Richmond, with both teams sending debuting pitchers to the mound for the finale.
