  1. A current cancer patient at Carilion Clinic is giving back to other patients. Clara Sherman was diagnosed with a brain tumor 8 years ago and found it was tough to move around when hooked up to IV poles during chemo treatments. Sherman recently made "lily pads" (wooden pads at the bottom of the poles) for other kids in the hospital with IV poles. (WSET)
  2. One man is dead and a woman injured after a shooting in northwest Roanoke.
    Roanoke Police were called about midnight Tuesday night to a home in the 1000 block of Hanover Avenue NW. Officers found a man and a woman inside the home' both had apparent gunshot wounds. (WDBJ7)
  3. In a year in which violence has plagued the Star City with five more people than last year dead, some of Roanoke's finest are voicing concerns. Results from a recent survey conducted by the Roanoke Police Association asked current officers about morale and retention. 101 out of 246 sworn officers answered the questions on morale, while 85 were questioned about retention, including if they plan to stay with the department or get a new job.
