- A Roanoke City Schools bus driver has been removed from their route after a Westside Elementary school student was let off the bus without a guardian present earlier this week. The child had an orange tag on his backpack meaning a guardian must be present at his stop for him to get off the bus. The child's mother is speaking out about the incident so this doesn't happen again. (WDBJ7)
- A local Roanoke florist has announced that they have been selected to serve as a volunteer holiday decorator at the White House. Creative Occasions Events Flowers & Gifts, located in Vinton, will help design the White House Christmas tree and other displays for the 2021 holiday season. (WSLS 10)
- The Salvation Army in Roanoke needs volunteers to bell-ring at its red kettles. There are around 23 locations this year across the Roanoke Valley, where they need volunteers to collect donations at red kettles. You can volunteer for a half or full-day.(WDBJ7)
