  1. Roanoke City Manager Bob Cowell has proposed a $324,789,000 operating budget for the 2023 fiscal year. The proposed budget was presented to the Roanoke City Council. The budget includes funding for various improvement projects such as school buildings, bridges, parks, streets, fire stations, and libraries. (The Roanoke Star)
