Here are the top stories in Roanoke today:

1. A 20-year-old has been charged with second-degree murder after he shot and killed a man inside a Roanoke convenience store. On Wednesday night, a police officer was patrolling in the area of 6th Street/Moorman Avenue NW at around 9:00 p.m. when he heard the sound of gunshots coming from inside a mini mart and saw a man running out of the store. Police caught the suspect, Jamerius Crennell of Roanoke, and took him into custody. (WDBJ7)
2. A Roanoke girl's family is set to hold a yard sale to benefit the nonprofit that helped her receive a new heart. Nola Grace spent months in the hospital last year after undergoing a heart transplant and her family says she's come a long way. The yard sale is set to take place this Saturday from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 1629 Indian Rock Rd. in Roanoke. (WSLS 10)
3. A new haunted house attraction, Blue Ridge Nightmares, is launching in Roanoke on Friday. (WFIR News Talk Radio)
4. Orange Avenue was closed on Thursday at Williamson Road in Roanoke due to an incident involving a motorcycle in the roadway. (WSLS 10)
