Woman Sues Famous Anthony's + Shooting In Southeast Roanoke

  1. A Franklin County woman is filing a $500,000 lawsuit against Famous Anthony's after claiming to be a victim of the restaurant's hepatitis A outbreak. Mindy Perdue said she ate at the restaurant, contracted hepatitis A and had to be hospitalized for treatment. According to the lawsuit, Perdue developed multiple symptoms after first developing jaundice. (WSLS 10)
  2. A man was injured in a shooting in Southeast Roanoke. The shooting took place after midnight on Thursday. Police responded to the 1000 block of Morehead Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. and found the man with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Roanoke Police Department. (Roanoke Times)
  3. A 'Save Jane' event was hosted by Children's Trust to raise child abuse awareness in downtown Roanoke. (WDBJ7)
  4. The Virginia Department of Health will open a COVID vaccination center at an old Sears site in Roanoke. (WFIR News Talk Radio)
