Here are the top three stories today in Roanoke:

1. Roanoke County Fire & Rescue responded to a residential fire in the 6000 block of Monet Drive. The fire occurred Sunday night and caused $150,000 in damages to the two-story home. Nobody was injured during the fire and it took crews roughly 15 minutes to extinguish the fire. (WDBJ7)
2. The Roanoke area saw average gasoline prices rise roughly 9.4 cents per gallon within the last week. According to GasBuddy price reports, Roanoke gas stations ranged from $3.04 per gallon to $3.39 per gallon this week. When comparing the recent average gas price to the average price of last year, it has risen 93.3 cents per gallon. (WDBJ7)
