Here are the top three stories today in Roanoke:
- Roanoke County Fire & Rescue responded to a residential fire in the 6000 block of Monet Drive. The fire occurred Sunday night and caused $150,000 in damages to the two-story home. Nobody was injured during the fire and it took crews roughly 15 minutes to extinguish the fire. (WDBJ7)
- The Roanoke area saw average gasoline prices rise roughly 9.4 cents per gallon within the last week. According to GasBuddy price reports, Roanoke gas stations ranged from $3.04 per gallon to $3.39 per gallon this week. When comparing the recent average gas price to the average price of last year, it has risen 93.3 cents per gallon. (WDBJ7)
