Here are the top three stories today in Roanoke:
- A new survey shows that new car sales in the Roanoke region are almost ten percent above the sticker value. The increase above the MSRP value is attributed to the war in Ukraine. Russia and Ukraine are reportedly responsible for producing vital elements used in the manufacturing of vehicles. (WFIR News Talk Radio)
- Roanoke College is preparing to offer its first master's program to students in over 100 years. The college will be offering a Master's of Business Administration degree. The graduate-level courses will be the first high-level courses the college has offered since the 1920s, according to officials with the college. (WDBJ)
- Roanoke will be having its first-ever Star City Street Performer Expo this weekend. The event is being hosted by Alternative Arts Inc in Elmwood Park on Apr. 9 and 10 starting at 11:00 a.m. Admission is free but attendees are being encouraged to bring some extra cash to tip the performers.
