1. A new pavilion was opened in Roanoke to provide an outdoor space to train puppies and future service dogs. The Saint Francis Service Dogs is hosting puppy classes, training classes, volunteer orientations, interviews for those meeting their service dogs, and partner classes to learn new commands. The goal is to continue growing the support for people with disabilities. (Roanoke Times)
2. Marina Trejo, owner of Dream Dance and Fitness Studio in Roanoke, is honoring her Hispanic heritage through dance. She strives to teach people different styles of dance and the cultures behind them.
