- "The Price Is Right Live!" is coming to Roanoke, and locals have a chance to win some big prizes. This interactive traveling stage show, which has given away up to $12 million in cash and prizes over the last decade, will be running at the Berglund Center Performing Arts Theatre on April 13, 2022. Any audience members who are at least 18 years old can be called up to play, just like on the popular TV game show. Tickets are now on sale through the theater. (WDBJ7)
- On Thursday, the fourth annual Wasena Holiday Market offered Star City residents a chance to shop local for the holiday season. Hosted by Wasena Neighborhood Forum and Roanoke Mountain Adventures, the Market featured locally-made items, like soaps, jewelry, and paintings. Shoppers also enjoyed food and live music. (WSLS 10)
- Roanoke Fire-EMS is looking to fill up to 30 full-time and part-time positions for the year ahead, depending on the number of retirements. There's no need for previous experience —Roanoke is looking for "anybody that wants to be part of a community [and] wants to give back to the community," says Chief Davif Hoback. Applications will be accepted through the end of December and the next Fire-EMS Academy begins in May 2022. (WSLS 10)
