Here are the top three stories in Roanoke today:
- Roanoke residents are planning a rally to support Ukraine. The rally will take place this Saturday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. with attendees gathering downtown near the Roanoke Library. Those participating are encouraged to bring signs expressing support for Ukraine during the Russian invasion. (WSLS 10)
- Nonprofit Restoration Housing will begin construction on the historic home located at 920 Stewart Avenue. The organization plans to restore the 2700 square foot home in the traditional Victorian architecture style. The home has been vacant for several years and has sustained numerous damages that have placed it in a state of severe disrepair. (The Roanoke Star)
- The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. The incident occurred on March 3 in the 700 block of Hunt Avenue NW. The victim was taken to a local hospital and anyone with information is directed to contact the police department. (WDBJ)
