Here are the top three stories today in Roanoke:

  1. Roanoke Arts Pop! is coming to Taubman Museum of Art this weekend. The three-day festival will feature over 25 cultural organizations while providing pop-up performances, demos, talks, games, and activities. The event will be for all ages and starts Mar. 4. (WDBJ)
  2. Roanoke Fire-EMS rescued a cat from the top of a utility pole. The incident occurred at the 2800 block of Clarendon Avenue on Tuesday. Authorities with the department reported that the cat, named Nuggie, had an injured leg which prevented the cat to descend from the pole on its own. (WSET)
  3. Roanoke's Valley Metro has moved to a new location at the corner of Salem Avenue and 3rd Street. The move is being accompanied by a temporary pause on ride fees through Mar. 13. Currently, Metro Valley handles roughly 3,000 rides per day. (WSLS 10)
