Here are the top three stories today in Roanoke:
- The Roanoke River Greenway will be closed due to flooding. The Roanoke Parks and Recreation Department asks the community to use alternate routes this weekend while crews work to clear the bridge. Crews will need to wait for the water to reside before they are able to open the bridge. (WDBJ7)
- The Roanoke Bridal Expo is the perfect place for you or a loved one to find local vendors for an upcoming wedding. The event will be held this Sunday, Feb. 27, starting at 12:00 p.m. and will feature over 30 vendors. The vendors will be available to set up appointments with the intent to help you plan your dream wedding with ease. (WSLS 10)
- The former location of The Homeplace Restaurant is now available for lease. The 8,581 square foot Norfolk location was built in 1982 and would be a perfect location for a wedding venue, a meeting/banquet facility, a brewery, or other various businesses. The total value of renting the space comes out to be about $1 million a year. (WSLS 10)
