🌱 Roanoke Robbery Chase + Turkey Dinner For 670 First Responders

Here are the top stories today in Roanoke:

  1. A robbery call late Thanksgiving evening led Roanoke police on a chase through the northwest portions of the city. Police got a call of a robbery in the 2400 block of Oakland Boulevard just before 10 p.m; the chase ended near the Westwind Apartment complex. Three people are in custody; the circumstances of the possible robbery remain unclear. (WSLS 10)
  2. This Thanksgiving, a restaurant and a church in Roanoke partnered to provide meals for close to 700 first responders. Staff at Wildwood Smokehouse prepared a huge feast with nearly 30 turkeys and 40 quarts of green beans, mac and cheese, and potato salad. Meanwhile, dozens of volunteers from Fellowship Community Church helped with packing and delivering the meals to 670 first responders working over the holiday. (WSLS 10)
  3. "Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Musical" will be coming to the Berglund Center just in time for the holiday season. (WDBJ7)
