Here are the top three stories in Roanoke today:

  1. Two suspects have been arrested during an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Tuesday night. According to the Roanoke Police Department, Clayton A. Pellitteri, 20, and Haley Sarks, 18, have been charged for breaking into a home and shooting two men. The shooting occurred in the 500 block of Mountain Avenue SW. (WDBJ7)
  2. The Grandin Theatre Foundation is entering the final stage of its fundraising efforts. The Foundation hopes that the fundraising campaign will provide $350,000 for improvements to the theatre experience such as improved acoustics, LED systems, and a giant red curtain. So far, sixty percent of the funds have been raised. (WDBJ7)
  3. The Virginia Department of Transportation announced that a Friday afternoon crash on I-81 northbound has been cleared. The incident took place at 136.3 mile marker and backed up lanes for roughly four miles before it was cleared by transportation crews. The crash caused a vehicle fire that had to be extinguished before the roads could be reopened. (WSLS 10)
